About comm.UNITY

comm.UNITY is a student-run organization at Syracuse University that works with local non-profit community organizations on a yearly basis to help them create and improve sustainable communication plans. Organizations that partner with us work with a group of dedicated, motivated students who will empower the organization by developing communications solutions and then providing the knowledge necessary to continue these plans. Ultimately, we hope that after a year of working with comm.UNITY, our clients will be able to sustain their communications stategy on their own.

Some projects that comm.UNITY works on include building or redesigning websites, creating poster campaigns, shooting video for promotional or other projects, taking photographs of key events for future promotion, and general public relations work to help the non-profit with their communications plans.

The students involved are not just communications majors. We welcome all students who have a desire to get involved in the local community and to work with non-profits. We hope to help bridge the gap between the University and the surrounding community with our work, fulfilling the "Scholarship in Action" challenge.
