To connect students interested in various fields of communications with local non-profit community organizations, with the goal of creating sustainable communications plans. comm.UNITY wishes to help students exemplify the Chancellor’s initiative of “Scholarship in Action” by getting real world experience while bridging the gap between Syracuse University/SUNY-ESF and the Central New York non-profit sector at the same time. All services of comm.UNITY are provided by university students and do not require any type of payment.
comm.UNITY is a student-run organization at Syracuse University that works with local non-profit community organizations to help them create sustainable communications plans. Students from all majors are welcome to join comm.UNITY. We welcome all students who have a desire to get involved in the local community and to work with non-profits. Organizations that partner with us work with a group of dedicated, motivated students. Our members are knowledegable in the areas of social media, public relations, advertising, videography, web design, event planning, fundraising, graphic design and photography. Our project teams focus on three communications needs facing the non-profits we work with to help them create sustainable plans.
Our application is available here. If you're a non-profit interested in working with us, please feel free to fill out the application, or you may contact the Executive Directors with any questions you may have at firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you're a Syracuse University student interested in participating or want to find out more information, please contact our Director of Administration.
